Present: IRC, UNESCO, SCI, NRC, REACH, Church of Ankawa, MoE, Qandil and UNICEF
UNESCO is providing caravans to MoE
ECT has advocated for standardizing IDP/government
incentives. It will be agenda point in the next Inter-Agency
Cluster Meeting.
Action points and progress done related to the agenda
items is mentioned below.
1: UNESCO and UNICEF to coordinate to
avoid duplication on provisions of
caravans and share update with cluster
2: ECT to follow up standardizing of
salaries/incentives with
Students registration of the IDPs is going on in
Sulaymanyiah. The second shift is for IDPs.
Construction/increasing space in camps not being ready in
time is causing the delay in evacuating IDPs from schools
and hindering the schools to open. This is creating great
distress
Number of students need to be known. Education partners
needs to know the schools, lists exist but need to be
translated. REACH met with the DoE in Erbil and the head
of Planning provided the list. Next week he will provide an
update.
1: MoE to share the contact at DoE
responsible for facilitating IDP
registration.
2: Reach to translate available list of
schools. MoE to update
3: All partners are to coordinate plans
with DoE at governorate level and
nominate schools that IDPs can go to -
space available according to the
assessed numbers of IDPs. Also to share
plans with IM so to assist in
coordination.
