Section1:StatutesandRegulations.
Thisleaseisissuedpursuanttosubsection8(p)oftheOuterContinentalShelfLandsAct
(“theAct”),43U.S.C.§§1331et seq.ThisleaseissubjecttotheActandregulations
promulgatedpursuanttotheAct,includingbutnotlimitedto,offshorerenewableenergy
andalternateuseregulationsat30CFRPart585aswellasotherapplicablestatutesand
regulationsinexistenceontheEffectiveDateofthislease.Thisleaseisalsosubjectto
thosestatutesenacted(includingamendmentstotheActorotherstatutes)andregulations
promulgatedthereafter,excepttotheextentthattheyexplicitlyconflictwithanexpress
provisionofthislease.Itisexpresslyunderstoodthatamendmentstoexistingstatutes,
includingbutnotlimitedtotheAct,andregulationsmaybemade,and/ornewstatutes
maybeenactedornewregulationspromulgated,whichdonotexplicitlyconflictwithan
expressprovisionofthislease,andthattheLesseebearstheriskthatsuchamendments,
regulations,andstatutesmayincreaseordecreasetheLessee’sobligationsunderthelease.
